Adelene

Founder of Studio Stanley, Adelene Stanley is a multifaceted artist, creative director, wellness consultant, movement and nutrition coach with over a decade of international experience across performance and education.

Before moving into the wellness space, Adelene built her career as a full-time performer and choreographer based in the UK. Her work has been presented at leading venues including the Royal Opera House and Sadler’s Wells, while her creative portfolio includes original movement commissions and choreography for brands such as Hermès, Porsche, Bvlgari and Shiseido. Her work has been featured by leading lifestyle and culture publications including Her World, Tatler, Time Out Singapore, ELLE, and L’Officiel Singapore.

An award-winning artist, Adelene has performed and toured across Scotland, France, Taiwan, Russia, Singapore, Israel and China, as well as on two regional UK tours. Career highlights include performing at the Royal Albert Hall, appearing before the British Royal Family at the Royal Variety Performance, and sharing the stage with five-time Grammy Award winners Ladysmith Black Mambazo, three-time Grammy Award winners Soweto Gospel Choir, and dancers from The Royal Ballet and Rambert.

Over time, her relationship with movement expanded beyond performance. Having first experienced movement as an art form, discipline and means of storytelling, Adelene became increasingly interested in its capacity to support healing, self-awareness and meaningful connection. This led her from the performing arts into the healing arts, where her work now sits at the intersection of creativity, embodiment and holistic wellbeing.

Rooted in somatics and embodied practice, Adelene explores movement as a tool for expression, nervous-system regulation, physical awareness and reconnection. Her approach is further informed by her studies in nutrition, health, lifestyle and wellness coaching, allowing her to consider wellbeing through a broader and more integrated lens.

Today, Adelene guest lectures at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) as well as other institutions. Through Studio Stanley, she has developed and curated movement and wellness programming for partners including Marina Bay Sands, alongside classes and community experiences with brands such as lululemon. Her work spans hotel wellness programmes, corporate experiences, retreats, workshops, public activations and large-scale events, bringing together thoughtful programming, creative direction and accessible embodied practices.

Adelene believes in the transformational power of dance, her vision is to create experiences that are expressive, inclusive and deeply felt. In her sessions, expect to slow down, move with greater awareness and reconnect with yourself from the inside out.
